This passage comes right after the shepherd's visit Mary, Jospeh, and the newborn Jesus. She is contemplative as well as grateful. Imagine her thoughts. Imagine being the first to see and experience God in the flesh. Imagine witnessing the shepherd's entusiasm and reverance. She is savoring the wonder and joy.
My life is far different from Mary's. The lesson in her example is that we savor God's work, that we hold His blessings close to our hearts. For me, this blog is a place to savor the wonder and joy I see around me.
